How exactly does AfspraakWacht work?
You pick a service and location — a passport appointment at a specific gemeente office, or an IND appointment in Amsterdam, for example — and a date range that works for you. AfspraakWacht continuously checks the official booking page for new or cancelled slots. The moment there's a match, you get a notification with the service, location and exact time. You book it yourself, on the official site.
Does the app book the appointment for me?
No. AfspraakWacht does not book, reserve or guarantee anything. The app only sees that a slot is available and alerts you as fast as possible. You always complete the booking yourself, on the official IND or gemeente website.
Do I need an account or DigiD?
No. There's no account, no email address, and no password. AfspraakWacht never asks for your DigiD and has no access to your government accounts — the app only reads publicly visible availability.
