An urgent application (spoedaanvraag)
This is an official gemeente service: you pay extra to have a document produced faster — a passport as early as the next working day instead of after five. But you still need an appointment to submit the application, and those calendars are just as full. For an urgent application, contact your gemeente directly.
Finding an earlier regular appointment
You don't need an urgent application for this — you need an earlier slot. And those open up throughout the day as other people cancel. AfspraakWacht checks continuously for those cancellations and alerts you the moment something becomes available at short notice.

How exactly does AfspraakWacht work?
You pick a service and location — a passport appointment at a specific gemeente office, or an IND appointment in Amsterdam, for example — and a date range that works for you. AfspraakWacht continuously checks the official booking page for new or cancelled slots. The moment there's a match, you get a notification with the service, location and exact time. You book it yourself, on the official site.
Does the app book the appointment for me?
No. AfspraakWacht does not book, reserve or guarantee anything. The app only sees that a slot is available and alerts you as fast as possible. You always complete the booking yourself, on the official IND or gemeente website.
Do I need an account or DigiD?
No. There's no account, no email address, and no password. AfspraakWacht never asks for your DigiD and has no access to your government accounts — the app only reads publicly visible availability.

Can AfspraakWacht arrange an urgent appointment for me?
No. AfspraakWacht is not an urgent-appointment service and does not perform an urgent application (spoedaanvraag). The app checks the regular calendars for cancellations and alerts you the moment an earlier slot opens up. An urgent application — for example an express passport — is something you arrange with your gemeente directly.
I urgently need a passport — does this help?

How quickly will I find an appointment with AfspraakWacht?
It varies by gemeente and service. At some locations slots open up several times a day; at others less often. Pro monitors check every 60 seconds, so you hear about openings as fast as possible.
How do I cancel Pro?
Open the App Store → tap your profile → Subscriptions → AfspraakWacht → Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the current billing period.
I bought the old lifetime Pro. Does it still work?
Yes. If you previously purchased the one-time lifetime unlock, it remains valid permanently. You can restore it via the App Store with the same Apple ID.
How do I restore Pro on a new device?
Open the App Store with the same Apple ID and redownload AfspraakWacht. An active subscription is restored automatically. If you have the old lifetime unlock, that is recognised too.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are made through the App Store, and Apple handles refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support to request one.
